Oakwood Street Trunk Sewer Extension Structural Construction

Oakwood Truck Sanitary Sewer is designed with capacity to service undeveloped land between Puce River and Manning Road. The line currently ends at Puce Road (County Road 25). The extension of the trunk sanitary sewer across to the west side of the Puce River was identified as a priority in the 2009 Water and Wastewater Master Plan. Land west of the Puce River has been purchased for the extension. Growth and development of both residential and commercial to the west are currently limited and rely on the availability of this trunk crossing to the west side of the river. It is also identified as an important action initiative within Council’s Strategic Priority to Maximize Development Growth Opportunities. Project consists of an approximately 512m extension of the 900mm sanitary sewer trunk to the West River Road (crossing underneath the Puce River). From this point forward the lands can be reasonably developed with planning approval.
