Description | The Oarweed Restaurant in Perkins Cove, Ogunquit, Maine, is set to be rebuilt after being destroyed by a fire in 2024. The new building will be slightly set back from Marginal Way to comply with flood-zone rules and coastal protections, elevated higher than the previous structure, and will have a footprint of about 4,500 square feet with seating for 266 diners. It will be fully ADA compliant, include a new streetside patio, a rear patio facing Marginal Way, and an apartment above the restaurant. The design features gable rooflines and shingled siding for a natural New England look. |
