OASIS – innOvAtive SustaInable cluSter for olive value chain

OASIS project brings 6 legal entities (beneficiaries) from 3 different eligible countries (Turkiye, Spain and Italy) to support 150 SMEs involving in olive and olive oil sector for themes 3 and 5. Coordinator is Izmir Commodity Exchange (ICE) as an agri-food cluster organisation. In addition to the Coordinator, there are 2 other agri-food clusters and 1 industry support organisation and 3 agri-food technology centres. The OASIS consortium has been formed around the specific capabilities and networking potential required to deliver tasks of five Work Packages including 8 mandatory activities as requested in the call of this proposal to achieve the objectives. The OASIS consortium was formed using a top-down strategy: by first targeting the market and defining the technical content and then selecting the necessary partners. That this approach can be used to form the consortium is testament to the substantial knowledge base and skill set that exists at the European level in the capacity building and networking required to deliver the OASIS to support selected 150 SMEs in olive processing business for their journey towards more sustainable business models and green transition, and further developed to the ultimate benefit of European competitiveness.
