Description | The OB3 gas pipeline in Nigeria connects gas supply from the eastern Niger Delta to demand centres in the west and links into the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) corridor extending northward. It has a capacity of up to 2 billion standard cubic feet per day and supports power generation, fertiliser production, industrial clusters, manufacturing growth, and domestic energy supply. The project includes a significant engineering milestone of crossing the River Niger using horizontal directional drilling approximately two kilometres beneath the riverbed. |
