Description

Description

OCFN is eager to retrofit their Community Services Building to improve the building’s energy efficiency and significantly improve the building function and overall longevity. The Community Services Building is the main hub of community-focused programming at OCFN. The Community Services Building houses a variety of community-focused programs and services. The building was originally built as a school at OCFN but has since been repurposed as the Community Services Building. The building houses the following programs and departments: gym, daycare, social development offices, housing department offices, and training programs for post secondary health care assistant programs. In 2021, OCFN conducted an energy audit and energy usage analysis with the support of their partners. Based on the energy analysis, the proposed retrofits would result in significant energy savings, cost savings, and major reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, while improving an important community building.
