Declaration of cinema admissions of eligible films in Greece for the years 2020 and 2021 and reinvestment plan. Our Objective is to be able to acquire the rights for Greece and Cyprus for European non-national films and to be able to promote them efficiently in the market in order for them to be profitable, successful, relevant to the Greek audience , to add to the diversity of the film offerings for Greek audiences, and to support European films across all available distribution channels, in order for them to have a strong representation in Greece. Our activities are acquisition of all rights for non national European films, theatrical release and promotion of non national European films, commercial exploitation of all rights (TVOD-SVOD-PAYTV-FREETV) of non national European films, participation in Greek Film Festivals, participation in international film markets. From the implementation of the project benefits will derive for: Odeon, as the distributor, as media support is essential in order to be able to continue to acquire, market and sell non-national European movies. Exhibitors, who have been struggling during the last years, and even more so with the proliferation and growth/power of international platforms. Workforce employed in the whole theatrical distribution chain of non national European films. Audiences, who can have a wide range and diversity in the cultural offerings available to them. We anticipate with the support of CREATIVE EUROPE European Film Distribution to acquire up to 12 non-national European Films, and to be able to successfully and profitably distribute them and for them to have an appeal to the Greek audience.
