Description

Description

The Ohio National Bank building at 167 S. High St. and three adjacent properties are for sale after redevelopment plans stalled. The historic four-story bank building is priced at $2.85 million, and the neighboring buildings are offered for $2 million. The redevelopment plan included a $14.6 million adaptive reuse project with designs for a basement speakeasy, first-floor restaurant, and five apartments on the upper floors. The project was awarded a $1.7 million brownfield remediation grant, a federal historic tax credit, and a $1.45 million Ohio Historic Tax Credit. The owner conducted asbestos remediation, and selective demolition of the interior was approved in December 2024. The adjacent site had plans for a 15-story tower with 200 market-rate apartments, a parking garage, and ground-floor retail, but the tower plans were put on hold due to high interest rates and construction costs.
