OJJDP FY 2011 Internet Crimes Against Child Deconfliction System Program

OJJDP seeks to award funding for the construction, maintenance, and housing of an Internet Crimes Against Children Data System (IDS) and related tasks, including providing training and technical assistance to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Forces and their federal law enforcement partners on the use of the system. IDS will facilitate online law enforcement investigations of child exploitation; promote data deconfliction and information sharing among ICAC Task Forces and ICAC-affiliated federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement; and enhance the capacity of OJJDP to collect and aggregate data on the extent of the problem of child exploitation.Grants made under this program are authorized by an Act appropriating funds for the Department of Justice. There are materials available to those agencies intending to submit an application under OJJDP FY 11 ICAC Deconfliction System. The materials are derived from the results of focus groups held with ICAC Commanders in January about deconfliction needs. The data are uncoded and not identifiable to any individual who participated in the focus groups.
