Description | OJJDP will fund the Community-Based Violence Prevention (CBVP) Field-Initiated Research and Evaluation (FIRE) Program to support methodologically rigorous research and evaluations that inform policy and practice consistent with the Department of Justices mission. OJJDP will fund field-initiated studies to inform efforts to prevent and reduce youth violence (including gun violence) and violence exposure at the community level under Part B of Title II of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (JJDP Act), (42 USC 5631 et seq.) and Part R of Title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (42 USC 3796ee et seq.). |
