Description | At least 18 data center projects across Oklahoma are either under construction or awaiting government approvals, driving significant power demand increases. Utilities OG&E and PSO are planning new natural gas generation units, upgrades to existing power plants, major transmission expansions, and long-term power purchase agreements to meet this demand. The Oklahoma Corporation Commission has approved OG&E's pre-approval for new power agreements and multiple expansion projects in eastern Oklahoma County, Pittsburg County, and the Kiamichi region to support the electricity needs of these data centers. |
