Description | The EFGL project is a 30MW floating offshore wind farm consisting of three 10MW turbines installed on floating foundations, located 16km off the French coast in the Mediterranean Sea. It is Ocean Winds' first operating floating wind project in France and will generate around 110,000MWh/year. The project demonstrates the maturity of floating wind technology and benefits from a well-developed local supply chain, with 85% of direct suppliers being French or based in France, and over 99% located in Europe. It has also created jobs for 20 workers in Port-la-Nouvelle for monitoring and maintenance. |
