Description | The EFGL floating offshore wind farm is a 30MW pilot project comprising three 10MW turbines installed on semi-submersible floaters 16 kilometres off the Occitanie coast in France. Developed in partnership with Banque des Territoires, it is Ocean Winds' second floating offshore wind project globally and second project in France. The project has entered full operations and will generate around 110,000MWh/year of electricity, powering approximately 50,000 inhabitants annually over 20 years. The local supply chain includes 99% direct European suppliers, with 85% French or France-based companies and 60% SMEs. |
