O&M Facility Upgrades -- VTC & LTC

This project includes facility system state of good repair at the Victoria Transit Centre (VTC) and installs enhancements to optimize fleet maintenance functions, convenience, and safety at Langford Transit Centre (LTC). Upgrades are required to enable deployment of a battery electric bus (BEB) fleet and support required expansion of transit services; both facilities are operating at capacity in their present configurations, and deployment of the BEB fleet at the VTC will reduce capacity and require redistribution of part of the Victoria Regional Transit System (VRTS) fleet to the LTC. This project delivers the following scope of work: replace end-of-life exhaust evacuation system and main electrical service panel (VTC); construct new administration and maintenance storage space to clear shop floor for maintenance activities; construct 220 m2 steel building for wood shop, office, and tire shop activities; convert current tire shop to an interior deep clean bay; add tire storage (LTC).
