Oman's First Green Hydrogen Project Phase 1

Phase 1 of Oman's first green hydrogen project, promoted by India's ACME Group, is a commercial-scale venture producing 100,000 tonnes per annum of green ammonia at the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD). The project aims to support Oman's transition to low-carbon fuel production and has a 15-year offtake agreement with Norwegian fertiliser major Yara for the European market starting early 2027. The project has passed 50% completion with engineering work mostly done, licenses in place, and equipment arriving on site. The project includes managing challenging civil works such as pipelines from a 90-metre elevation down to the sea.
