The project targets production of 23,000 tonnes per year of green hydrogen by 2027 and involves a high three-digit million euro investment estimated between €300 million and €999 million. OMV retains 51% ownership and operational control. The facility is expected to leverage Siemens Energy technology and aims to serve domestic decarbonization goals in refining, industry, and potentially hydrogen mobility sectors. It is also aligned with EU hydrogen corridor ambitions under REPowerEU. |
