Description | The scope of the project consists of installing infrastructure improvements in the City of Barrie. Installation of the following components will help improve at least 151 bus stops: Bus displays, heated shelters, unheated bus shelters (of varying sizes), new bus stop signs, bus stop concrete pads of various sizes for AODA accessibility, and bike racks. The goal of the project is to update and improve existing infrastructure progressing towards accessibility standards under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. The project will improve capacity, quality and safety of existing and future transit system and access to public transit. |
