Description | Backbone Infrastructure Nigeria Limited is investing $15 billion to develop a 500,000-barrel-per-day crude oil refinery in Ondo State, Nigeria. The project aims to boost Nigeria's refining capacity and supply the domestic market, provide feedstock to local industries, and produce export-ready volumes. The refinery will be located in the Ilaje industrial free zone and constructed in phases, with the first phase including a 100,000-barrel-per-day unit over 48 months. Related infrastructure such as roads, terminals, storage tanks, and handling equipment are also planned. |
