Description

Description

Online Dispute Resolution version 4 with AI (ODR4) builds on the successful implementation of the EU co-funded ODR3 project, which resulted in the development of one of Europe’s most advanced and effective case management systems for mediation. Since its launch, the ODR3 platform has managed over 11,000 mediation procedures (https://odr3.adrcenter.com/). Capitalizing on the operational experience gained during ODR3 and the continuous technological improvements, ODR4 aims to design and implement the next generation of case handling for mediations. The project is shaped by extensive feedback from mediators, case managers, users, lawyers, large corporations and SMEs and directly addresses the growing demand for smarter, more accessible, and user-friendly digital justice tools built on technologies that were not yet available when ODR3 was developed. ODR4 will deliver a modular, scalable, multilingual, AI-powered and user-centered platform tailored to meet the evolving demands of ADR. The new system will incorporate a range of integrated features, including embedded video conferencing and e-signature capabilities to support end-to-end online mediation, automated invoicing and secure document management to streamline operations, and built-in tools for capturing both statistical data and qualitative user feedback. A central focus will be the introduction of advanced AI functionalities designed to support mediators in preparing and managing cases, guide one-time and recurring users through intuitive decision paths, and ease the administrative workload for case managers.
