Ontario Highway 413

Under Construction

Highway 413 is a 52-kilometre megaproject planned to cut through York, Peel, and Halton regions in the northwestern parts of the Greater Toronto Area. The project involves building a highway through protected Greenbelt areas and endangered species habitats. Early work and land expropriations have begun, with the Ontario government fast-tracking the project through legislative changes. The project has faced environmental and political controversies, including changes to environmental assessment processes and endangered species protections.
