Description | The Ontario Line consists of the construction of approximately 34.7 kilometres (17.35 kilometres of double track) of rapid transit, using tunneled, at-grade and elevated sections. The project also includes the construction of 15 stations, one maintenance and storage facility, up to 160 vehicles, and active transportation connections to stations. The project will extend from Exhibition Place in the west through downtown core underneath King Street, and terminate at the Ontario Science Centre, providing connections to the Toronto Transit Commission’s (TTC) Line 1 and Line 2 subways, the future Eglinton Crosstown, as well as several streetcar and buses routes. The project will improve the access, capacity, quality and safety of the transit system in the City of Toronto, Ontario. |
