Description | The Ontario Line consists of the construction of 17.35 kilometres (15.6 kilometres for passenger service, the remainder will be tailing track for temporary train storage) of rapid transit, using tunnelled, at-grade, and elevated sections. The project also includes the construction of 15 stations, one maintenance and storage facility, up to 160 vehicles, and active transportation connections to stations. The project will extend from Exhibition Place in the west through the downtown core and terminate at the Eglinton Crosstown LRT at Don Mills Road, providing connections to the Toronto Transit Commission’s (TTC) Line 1 and Line 2 subways, the Line 5 Eglinton LRT, as well as several streetcar and bus routes. The project will improve the access, capacity, quality, and safety of the transit system in the City of Toronto, Ontario. |
