Description | LeafStar Holdings LLC, a U.S. defence company, plans to build a manufacturing facility in Southern Ontario focused on producing small arms and light weapons for military forces and private security contractors. The project aims to expand domestic production of weaponry in Canada and could create up to 300 jobs including engineers, metallurgists, and quality control personnel. The company intends to raise between $70 million and $100 million from investors to start the project and aims to begin operations within a year if a suitable location is found and contracts are secured. |
