The project was awarded under under the Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd’s tender for setting up of 340 MW open access power projects under UP Solar Policy, 2017. The project has secured Power Purchase Agreements for a period of 15-25 years. Sponsor is AMP Energy India. The project cost is INR 5 billion or $70 million. Construction began on 12 August 2019 and it is expected that the plant will be commissioned in 2020 in phases.
