Description
Description | This project promotes the idea of innovative and sustainable tourism through accessibility for all as a qualifying value of competitiveness and inclusiveness for businesses and regions. It will develop initiatives to increase eco-tourism products that will identify operators in the hotel, craft and agri-food sectors engaged in a quality and sustainability path. The general objective is to increase the international sustainable tourism competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized companies by developing a cross-border accessible hospitality tourism brand. The project also aims to create an institutional communication campaign to disseminate and share information on the accessibility of areas and services, including for people with disabilities. The following are the main results: 1 Cross-border accessible hospitality tourism brand, 4 Calls for tourism businesses, 1 Web portal and App with Map of accessible tourism itineraries, 1 Joint protocol for tourist organisations and operators in the 5 regions, 4 Cross-border tourist itineraries and 4 Joint laboratories for cross-border routes. Although the project values existing regional experiences, it intends to create for the first time stable cross-border tools for tourism promotion and service qualification. It will also map the cooperation area involving public bodies, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, chambers of commerce, NGOs and consumer associations. ITACA enjoys the promotion of a public and private partnership. The innovative solutions proposed by this project promote an inclusive social-economic model providing a detailed response to a common problem of tourist accessibility to the local areas which overcomes physical and cultural barriers to the benefit of all. |
