Oracle is constructing a next-generation AI data center campus called Project Jupiter in Doña Ana County, New Mexico. The project involves a significant redesign to use Bloom Energy fuel cells instead of gas turbines and diesel generators, resulting in a cleaner, quieter, and more efficient power solution. The campus will have up to 2.45 gigawatts of installed Bloom fuel cell capacity and aims to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by approximately 92% and eliminate water use for power generation. Oracle has committed $417 million for community investments including water system upgrades, schools, infrastructure, public services, and workforce development. The project is expected to generate about 4,000 construction jobs and support 1,500 ongoing roles, with an emphasis on local hiring and suppliers.
