Description | The project entails the construction of a 100MW wind power plant in District Anantpur, in the state of Andhra Pradesh by Orange Anantapur Wind Power Pvt Ltd ("Project Company"). Sponsors are Orange Renewable Power and Orange Renewable Holding. The project is eligible for revenue subsidy under the Generation Based Incentive Scheme in the Wind Power Sector in India. Further details on PPA and contract award method are unavailable, but the project is a part of the state government initiative to promote renewable energy. The total project cost is USD $115.1 million (INR 7.6billion). Financing comprises a USD $86.3 million (INR 5.7billion) 15-year term loan provided by PFC and IREDA, and equity contribution of USD $28.8 million (INR 1.9billion).
