Description | This project transformed a former warehouse facility, situated over 10 acres of land, to a one-stop-shopping auto mall experience complete with multiple dealerships and undercoating and paint protection facility. The new O'Regan's building utilized aluminum curtain wall, composite metal panels and an EPDM roof. Rather than completely demolishing and disposing of the existing facility, Bird incorporated 95% of the existing insulated concrete pre-cast panels, electric lighting and asphalt paving into the new design. The height of the existing panels exceeded that of the intended new roof so the team reset the existing footing below grade to accommodate the height differential. |
