Part of the Oregon Zoo Makeover funded by the 2024 bond measure, the entry plaza project was intended to make the zoo entry more welcoming and accessible. The project has been scaled back so significantly that there is no change to the zoo entry except for building a deck off an existing cafe. The plaza project has a budget of $19 million and parts are scheduled to be finished in summer 2027.
