Description

Description

This project is the second phase of a two phased expansion and renovation of the Orenda Canoe Club (non-profit organization). During the first phase of the project, older sections of the facility were torn down, the facility was expanded to double the footprint of the existing building, and, the exterior and first floor of the building were completed. This, the second phase is needed to finish the top floor of the facility, including HVAC system, insulation, drywall, flooring, fixtures, a commercial kitchen, the corresponding labour and the finishing touches to the plumbing and electrical utilities. The addition of the extra space to the canoe club, allows the facility to host community events, and events which generate revenue such as weddings. The extra space is also needed to accommodate summer camp programs and year round training for athletes. The completed project improves access to, and the quality of, community and recreational infrastructure.
