Description | The Ormin Power plant was a 6.464 MW diesel generating facility located in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, the Philippines. The project was built by Ormin Power, a subsidiary of listed company Jolliville Holdings Corporation. The plant has aggregate generating capacity of 6.464 MW. The facility has been designed to run on bunker fuel. It has four modular units – with the three to be utilized as main generating units and the fourth a heavy fuel oil (HFO) treatment system. All generated output was to be sold to the regional utility Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative Inc for distribution to end-users. Total project cost was US$ 8.36 million, of which US$ 6.4 million was financed by the Development Bank of the Philippines. Financial close was reached in 2011, and commenced operations in November 2011. |
