Description

This project is Phase 1 of a two-phased project to address erosion and the impacts of flooding along Indian Brook and the Oromocto First Nation. There are four main areas of concern that will be addressed through the overall project. The scope of the Phase 1 project includes culvert upgrades and further bank armouring with riprap at Area 2, the installation of a small bridge and gravel of a pedestrian trail from the Community Centre to the waterfalls in Indian Brook at Area 3, and backfilling and an improved boat launch at Area 5. It is anticipated that these measures will re-stabilize the bank. A separate Phase 2 project will be implemented to conduct the work at Area 4.
