Description | This project entails the upgrade, modernisation and expansion of the distribution network, located in Osmangazi region, western part of Turkey, which serves around 1.9 million end-users in 125 towns and 1,455 villages. The project company is Osmangazi Elektrik Dagitim A.S. (OEDAS), wholly-owned by the sponsor, Zorlu Enerji. Total investment stands at $400 million, of which the Dutch development bank FMO provided $100 million loan, IFC, AIIB and Denizbank each contributed $75 million and EBRD provided $50 million. The revenue sources are user fees, as the company is responsible for electricity distribution in the provinces of Afyonkarahisar, Bilecik, Eskisehir, Kütahya, and Usak.
