 Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.S. (“Otosan” or the “Company” - https://www.fordotosan.com.tr/en) is a leading automotive manufacturer which has been Turkey’s export champion for the past four years. The Company is a JV between Koç Holding A.S. (“Koç Holding”) and Ford Motor Company (“Ford”) and is also publicly listed. The Company is headquartered in Istanbul and has production, distribution and research and development (“R&D”) facilities in Turkey.  The Company produces medium and light commercial vehicles as well as trucks in its three plants. The main production complex of the Company is in  Kocaeli (https://goo.gl/maps/pFMTsNbeDkDA5kRF7), a large industrial city which is approximately an hour driving distance from Istanbul. This is the largest commercial vehicle production base of Ford in Europe, consisting of Golcuk and Yenikoy plants located next to each other, launched in 2001 and 2014 respectively. Inonu plant located in Eskisehir approximately three hours driving distance from Istanbul (https://goo.gl/maps/uHK1VjpVu96G56zo8), has been in operation since 1986. Additionally, there is a spare parts distribution center in Sancaktepe, Istanbul (https://goo.gl/maps/7NmCSwSKDTxUrc4R9, where the Company HQ is also located.The Golcuk plant manufactures Transit and Custom models of Ford, with 330,000 unit capacity annually, while the Yenikoy plant manufactures Courier models with 110,000 unit capacity. The Inonu plant where Ford Trucks vehicles are produced has a capacity of 15,000 units annually. All plants have a body shop including stamping and welding processes; an assembly shop, paint shop and warehouses. Inonu plant also manufactures engines, that are used in trucks and domestic commercial vehicles.The IFC investment will consist of a senior IFC A loan of up to EUR equivalent of US$150 million to partially fund the Company’s capex program during the period of 2020-2024(the “Project”). The new production units to be established as part of the Project, will be within the footprint of the existing premises of the Company.
