"""Our Eye on the EU” is a 24-month project involving European citizens, primarily youth, and civil society organisations in policy and media monitoring, analysis and advocacy work. It aims to enhance European civic space and reinforce EU fundamental values by offering channels and tools to young citizens to contribute in EU policy-making and by bringing quality information on EU affairs to wide audiences in a relevant, relatable way. The project foresees a series of interconnected capacity building activities in the field of media, policy and advocacy. It will establish a transnational, youth-led, digital newsroom and multimedia platform dealing with EU policies and politics in the areas of Education and Youth, Migration & Asylum, Civil and Human Rights, Environment, Social Affairs and Enlargement. The platform will bring together young participants, civil society organisations, as well as experts and academics, in the production of monthly bulletins, position papers, podcasts and video broadcasts. This material will raise awareness on EU policies and challenges, while offering policy recommendations and inspiring collective civic action. Dissemination efforts will ensure broad outreach through partners websites, newsletters, social media and targeted campaigns aimed at policymakers, citizens and thematic media. To ensure long-lasting impact, the project will measure success through synchronised social media actions, position paper and policy recommendations publications, and engagement from youth, civil society organisations, intellectuals, and decision-makers. In alignment with EU values, the project will emphasise gender equality and non-discrimination, making use of sensitive language and ensuring the active participation of diverse underrepresented groups. By focusing on civic engagement and policy advocacy, EEU will foster informed, empowered communities and support the formulation of new civic initiatives that extend beyond the project’s duration."
