Outpatient remobilisation after total knee and hip prostheses

In the programme region, the frequency of hip and knee replacement is high compared to Europe. In recent years, there have been advances in operational technology and rehabilitation, but long waiting times for inpatient rehabilitation. The aim of the project is to develop an alternative and cheaper treatment regimen for early outpatient remobilisation. Another advantage of the near-home early remobilisation is that patients remain in their familiar social environment and therefore support the rapid re-integration into everyday life. The project is carried out in cooperation with orthopaedic and traumatological departments of acute hospitals and social security and health insurance funds in the programme region. The results of the project will be made publicly available and disseminated into practice by the strategic partners.
