Description | Overland Park Regional Medical Center is reviving plans for a major expansion of its hospital near the intersection of Interstate 435 and Quivira Road. The project includes a two-phase $120 million expansion to increase surgical capabilities and modernize the campus. The first phase involves $40 million for expanding surgical space, adding operating rooms, remodeling, and adding elevators. The second phase, starting in 2027, includes $80 million for new construction and remodeling, adding floors, beds, a helipad, and upgrading neonatal intensive care units. The expansion will increase the hospital's capacity from 285 to 324 beds. |
