Description | The project entails the development of 30 MW Pâ solar PV plant near the town of Pâ, 250 km southeast of the capital Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The total investment is $ 35.4 million. It is being developed by the independent power producer Urbasolar, a subsidiary of the Swiss Axpo Group, in partnership with the local company Projet Production Solaire (PPS), which will hold a minority stake in the plant. Debt provider is the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund, which provided $ 29 million. Debt to equity ratio is 81:19. Financial close was announced on March 17th, 2021.
