The Priority Area 2 of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region "To Encourage More Sustainable Energy" is aiming at supporting national, regional as well as local actors in achiving the 2030 energy and climate targets and fulfilment of the Energy Union´s goals. The project aims to support the Priority Area 2 in its governance and implementation of its targets and actions by providing financial means for various activities on the management, policy coordination as well as communication level. Focusing on supporting the Steering Group (and in general the PA2 EUSDR governance stucture) in implementation of the EUSDR, policy development and development of policy initiatives while disseminating its achivements and strenghtened communication, the project will help the Priority Area 2 to better engage its stakeholders within the EUSDR governance system as well as outside the framework of the EUSDR structures and to better use existing synergies with other Priority Areas EUSDR as well as other relevant actors within the region. By various activities (such as studies on the energy landscape of the Danube region, expert seminars for discussion of the challenges and solutions feasible for the region and platforms for networking and strenghtening interlinkages) the Priority Area is aiming at providing data for informed decision making, disseminating examples of good practices and supporting development of cross-border cooperation. And thus to help to achieve more efficiently and better coordinated Priority Area which is more visible, better communicated and is engaging with its stakeholder with the aim of achieving its goals.
