The proposed project will increase the energy efficiency of six adjacent low-rise buildings in Victoria that provide affordable/social housing for vulnerable seniors. Affordable housing for seniors is listed under ’Housing for those in greatest need’ in the National Housing Strategy’s ’Priority Areas for Action.’ The energy upgrades include the building envelopes, ventilation systems, space heating, and domestic water heating to reduce the majority of the buildings’ operating greenhouse gas emissions. The project works include: - replacement building envelope components, including roof, walls, windows, and doors; - upgraded ventilation, space heating, and domestic water heating; - and site work, mechanical, electrical, control/monitoring, signage, and other related works and appurtenances.
