Padel HerWay: Empowering Young Women through Sport and Community

ongoing

The PHEW project aims to increase the visibility and participation of young women (15-29) in padel by addressing key challenges such as low awareness of the sport, a lack of tailored programs, and societal perceptions that discourage engagement. While women's involvement in sports is growing, padel remains underrepresented in this demographic, limiting access to its physical, social, and personal benefits. To bridge this gap, the PHEW project will implement targeted awareness campaigns, structured workshops, and skill-based training, creating new pathways for participation. The project will also equip organisations with best practices to foster long-term engagement, inclusivity, and equal opportunities in padel. By leveraging research, digital tools, and open-access resources, the PHEW project enhances outreach and accessibility, reducing environmental impact while making padel more inclusive and adaptable to diverse participants. This initiative strengthens the padel community, empowering young women to develop new skills, build confidence, and thrive in a supportive and inspiring environment.
