Pagsung Shea Processing Ltd.

Pagsung is a member-based organization instituted for collection of shea nuts and shea butter processing through technical training and market linkages. Pagsung’s mission is to bring individual shea nut picking and processing communities into one umbrella organization to promote quality production and promotion through market linkages. The goal is to produce high quality shea butter and other related shea products at prices that allow women in the association to gain wealth while been competitive in the market. The production site is in Tamale Sagnarigu district, Northern region (NS-005-4085). The organization currently has fifty-one (51) members, and it is looking to having eight hundred and fifty members (850) across all five (5) regions in northern Ghana. Pagsung has a storage, kneading machines, and small factory buildings which require expansion. Investment required is $3million for member businesses. The northern part of the country is a hub of shea trees, and the availability of raw material is in abundance for any investor who would want to invest in this industry
