Paisley Town Hall Accessibility Project

The Project consists of renovations to enhance the accessibility and user-friendliness of the Town Hall. The project scope involves: • the installation of an accessibility lift that spans the three levels of the Town Hall; • the creating a shaft opening and digging an 18" deep pit, which includes cutting concrete floor, drywall and floor removal and forming, rebar and concrete for the new pit floor; • the installation of a hoist beam; • moving existing lighting for the shaft, as required. • drywall, framing, flooring, painting and carpentry to restore the construction area of the building; and • an upgrade of the furnace within the building; The project is expected to result in improved accessibility and the long-term sustainability of a historic building located in the town’s downtown core.
