Description | Panjapol Pulp Industry Public Co. Ltd. has developed a 40-MW waste-to energy power plant at Bang Sai, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. The plant, currently in operation, uses agricultural waste and coal as fuel and sells 10-MW of power to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) under the Small Power Producers (SPP) Program. The PPA was signed on December 7, 1994 and has been selling power to EGAT as of November 16, 1995. EGAT signed a "non-firm" contract with the project company. Estimated project cost is $40.0 million ($1.0 million per MW). |
