Description | Boyd Gaming plans to redevelop the Par-A-Dice casino in East Peoria by replacing the iconic riverboat with a large facility attached to the existing hotel. The new casino will sit atop a manmade pond filled with Illinois River water to comply with a legal agreement requiring land-based casinos to be on the Peoria side of the river. The redevelopment includes expanding the casino to 29,000 square feet, adding 33% more room for table games, and new amenities such as a steakhouse, gastropub, and quick-casual eatery. The plan is expected to be completed by 2028 if approved. |
