The ParaManager aims to contribute specifically to the inclusion of Citizens with Disabilities in sport, through the improvement and certification of manage staff in sport organizations, endowing them with knowledge and awareness for the specific needs for the target population, and the relations with the surrounding sport staff. The overall goal of the project, is to develop of a ParaManager Framework, helping general managers and decision makers to understand, and identify the needs of field agents concerning disability, promoting this way a more inclusive behaviour in sports, and improving their knowledge and specific skills, helping the paralympic movement in the achieving full participation and social inclusion of persons with disabilities. The specific objectives of this project are: (a) will help to improve and enhance managers knowledge, working in sport disability and paralympic movement organizations, (b) will standardize base grassroots know-how, skills, and capacities for managers to understand and facilitate field agents in sport disability and paralympic sports, (c) certification for managers in sport disability and parasport, helping enterprise and job selection by umbrella organizations, (d) more participation from persons with disability in general sport development. The results of the ParaManager Project are: (1) Development and implementation of a FRAMEWORK for managers, specific for Para system (and sport disability), with to homogenous guidelines focusing skills for social inclusion and direct contact with field system resources; (2) a e-learning Course for Managers, in close connection with the NPC’s; (3) ParaManager Certification from EPC, helping CV criteria for specific positions in umbrella.
