Parsons Road Resurfacing

Limits: Markham Street to Mariposa Avenue Length: Approximately 1 mile District: 1 Community: Glen Valley The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to resurface approximately 1 mile of Parsons Road from Markham Street to Mariposa Avenue. Parsons Road is classified as a Local Road in the County of Riverside General Plan. Parsons Road is a two lane road and currently ranges from 22-24 feet wide. The proposed project will include pulverizing the roadway width, including up to 2 feet of the dirt shoulder, and overlaying the pulverized material with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). Additional improvements include: Construction of some driveways, some driveway tie-ins, bus turn outs, asphalt concrete dike, and overside drain Placement of safety edge and shoulder backing Utility adjustments Striping of roadway, including pavement markers and reflectors Salvage/removal and installation of new signs No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements will be required to construct the proposed improvements. The project improvements will raise the existing roadway profile by 0.30 feet.
