The overall objective of the Action is to provide comprehensive support to European and Armenian SMEs for their “smart” growth by improving their innovative and internationalization capacities on “no wrong door” basis as well as to serve as a bridge between enterprises and other EU initiatives aimed at business development. During recent years Enterprise Europe Network presence in Armenia has been extremely strengthened ensuring provision of integrated services to enhance the skills and capacities of local SMEs for internationalization and innovation, as well as assisting European SMEs interested in exploring new market opportunities in Armenia. Further broadening of interaction with network partners on common issues, share knowledge and experience in specific sectors will highly contribute to capacity building of both: host institutions and client SMEs. The extension of EEN`s presence in Armenia is necessary to provide the institutional capacity for achieving the goals of state policy in the sphere of SME development. One of the cornerstones of SME development strategy in Armenia is enlarging the opportunities of local SME`s for internationalization and applying of innovations thus supporting the process of transferring the extensive growth of SME sector to intensive. Consequently EEN Armenia in the scope of objectives of the national strategy is highlighted as one of the main instruments in the scope of SME state support.
