Passenger Jetty and Terminal Facilities at Gateway of India

The project involves constructing a passenger jetty and terminal near the Gateway of India in Colaba, South Mumbai. It includes a terminal platform of 80 x 80 meters with parking for 150 cars, a VIP waiting area, food court, cafe, and ticket counters. The jetty is tennis racquet-shaped, extending 570 meters into the sea and 203 meters wide, with 10 boarding platforms and an open-air amphitheatre. The built-up area over the sea on stilts is 25,116 sq. meters. The amphitheatre and restaurant/cafe are ancillary and limited to passenger convenience. No sewage treatment plant is planned, and the project must not harm the environment. Existing jetties near the Gateway will be discontinued after the new jetty's construction as directed by the Indian Navy.
