Description

Description

The Technical Cooperation (TC) responds to the growing demand for labor mobility in the region and aims to create conditions that enable people to move in an orderly, safe, and regular manner. To achieve this, the TC will strengthen labor mobility and economic inclusion in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) through the pilot implementation of the Regional Mechanism for the Mutual Recognition of Labor Competency Certifications in Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. The pilot will focus on the care, construction, tourism, and digital services sectors, which show high demand and strong mobility potential. By promoting comparable and reliable certifications, the initiative will benefit workers, employers, and technical-vocational institutions, creating a scalable model for regional expansion and greater inclusive labor integration in LAC. At the same time, it will help improve employment opportunities for migrant populations already residing in destination countries.
