Pathé Séries' 2025 International Development Slate embodies the second phase in the life of our department created in 2021. Featuring three scripted TV series with a strong European and International appeal, it will enable us to internationalize our activities, after three years devoted mainly to establishing our presence on the French market. These three ambitious series cover different genres: - A riveting murder mystery with horrific undertones, offering a subversive retelling of a cult French novel, created and directed by one of Russia's most acclaimed filmmakers in his highly anticipated TV debut. - A ground-breaking true crime thriller that will bring our viewers back in the 80s, from Canada to Europe, created by a César winner for Best Original Screenplay. - A drama series infused with dark comedy designed to become an organic European coproduction, created by two talented Norwegian screenwriters who will test their temperamental characters in the face of the end of the world. Targeting different broadcasters and/or streamers, we strongly believe in their potential to cross borders and to appeal to wide audiences in France, Europe and abroad thanks to the strong IPs they are based on, the prestigious talents they attach, the powerful topics they tackle and the universal stories they tell. As each of these series seeks premium quality development in order to convince partners to join us and to achieve an ambitious financing plan, Creative Europe MEDIA support will provide us with the opportunity to produce strong artistic material and to build A-list creative teams, which will allow us to engage discussions with coproducers and media companies to bring these projects to life. This slate will then allow Pathé Séries to conquer new markets and to fulfil its ambition to become a one-stop shop for the development and production of high-end TV series with a European and international scope.
